Hemp and ancient Indian culture.

Hemp has been cultivated in India for at least 3,000 years, and it was considered one of the five sacred plants in ancient Hindu tradition. It was believed to have been brought to India by the Aryans, a nomadic Indo-European people who migrated to the region around 1500 BCE. In Hindu tradition, hemp was associated with the god Shiva, who was believed to have discovered the plant and its many uses. One of the primary uses of hemp in ancient India was as a source of food. The seeds of the hemp plant were used to make a variety of dishes, including porridge and bread. The seeds were also ground into flour and used to make a type of flatbread called chapati. Hemp seeds were considered to be a highly nutritious food, rich in protein, fiber, and essential fatty acids. They were also believed to have medicinal properties and were used to treat a variety of ailments, including digestive disorders and skin conditions. Hemp was also used as a source of fiber in ancient India. The stems of the he...

HOW and WHY WAS THE HEMP BANNED?

Lorraine Jenks. HOW and WHY WAS HEMP BANNED? 1. One hectare of hemp produces as much oxygen as 25 hectares of forest. 2. I repeat, 1 acre of hemp can produce the same amount of paper as 4 acres of trees. (Correction offered by Catherine in Australia: In a growing cycle of 90 days - One hectare of hemp sequesters as much carbon as a hectare of forest produces over 25 years. Thank you.) 3. You can make paper from hemp 8 times and wood 3 times. 4. Hemp grows in 4 months, tree grows in 20-50 years. 5. Hemp flower is a real radiation trap.  6 Hemp can be grown anywhere in the world and it requires very little water. In addition, since it is able to protect against insects, it does not need pesticides. 7. If textiles made from hemp become. widespread, the pesticide industry could disappear completely. 8 The first jeans were made from hemp; even the word "CANVAS" is the name of hemp products. Hemp is an ideal plant for making ropes, cords, bags, shoes and hats. 9. Reducing the effec...

IS NDPS ACT A JOKE?

Are you a lawyer or law maker or police?  Do you know which is the most ridiculous law of India?  Sometime read NDPS ACT 1985 and laugh openly at your law makers 🙏  Sachin Awasthi *(A cannabis producer)*  We will discuss the loopholes present in the NDPS Act.  Section 2 of the NDPS Act defines narcotic substances,  If we are talking about cannabis only, then we will take only its definition and the law related to it:  Section 2 - Definition of Cannabis means :  (a) Charas, that is, raw or refined, any isolated resin obtained from the Cannabis plant and includes concentrated preparations and resins known as hashish oil or liquid hashish.  (b) hemp, that is to say, the flowering and fruiting ends of the Cannabis plant (not including seeds and leaves when they are not with the ends) by whatever name called and designated;  And  (c) any mixture of any of the above types of cannabis, whether with or without any neutralizing substance, a...
